Schools and Districts

Many schools and districts exemplify equitable educational practices in keeping with our best democratic traditions. The following are a sample, ranging from schools that do not ability group students to districts that work to eliminate segregation of students by class or race and ethnicity. The Forum invites you to contact these schools or visit them to see their work first hand.

    The Federal Hocking High School community strives to help all students become life-long learners, active democratic citizens, and to be flexible in their career choices. Central to this mission is helping young people develop the self-esteem necessary to feel that they can make a difference in the world.
